FlightRisk APIs

FlightRisk provides APIs for synchronizing schedule and duty data, and for running risk assessments.

Available APIs

Task	Description
Schedule	Manage trips and legs.
Duty Events	Allows duty data to be saved in FlightRisk. Combined with schedule data, this provides an accurate basis for fatigue calculation.
Rulesets	Retrieve rulesets.
Risk Assessments	Create risk assessments, associate them with legs, get status and URLs for risk assessments.
Position Reports	Create position reports for an aircraft.

Concepts

Executing a risk assessment brings together several types of data that may originate outside of Vocus/FlightRisk:

Crew Duty
User Accounts
Tails

Schedule Data

Schedule data is displayed in FlightRisk, but managed externally by using FlightRisk's APIs for trips and legs.

Crew Duty

FlightRisk uses a biomathematical model to calculate crew member fatigue. The accuracy of this calculation is improved by having duty periods that encompass both flying and non-flying duty time.

Use the Duty Event API to provide this data to FlightRisk.

User Accounts

Crew members must be users within FlightRisk before they can be used on a risk assessment. Create users using the Accounts API. Don't forget to grant FlightRisk application access to these users.

Tails

Tails must be created within FlightRisk before they can be used on a risk assessment. Create tails using the Tails API.
